Taper-Fit Clutch Design for

The Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate introduces XLPower’s proprietary taper-fit clutch system,a precision-engineered interface inspired by machine-tool spindle technology.
This tapered connection between the engine shaft and clutch assembly ensures perfect concentricity among the engine, fan, and clutch,maintaining alignment under all operating conditions and minimizing vibration at high RPM.Based on the original Specter 700 Nitro design, the system has been fully refined with a factory pre-balanced clutch assemblyand a new extended precision engine shaft.
The shaft is manufactured with less than 0.02 mm runout from factory, ensuring exceptional concentric accuracy and rotational stability.The reduced taper angle provides a tighter, more consistent engagement while requiring less torque to achieve full locking —reliable, repeatable, and easy to service.
Recommended tightening torque is 18 – 20 Nm, offering secure retention without excessive force.

The Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate tail system is engineered for maximum precision, strength, and long-term reliability.Its all-CNC, one-piece construction improves alignment accuracy, structural rigidity, and vibration resistance.The system adopts a teeter-style tail rotor design, identical to full-scale helicopter mechanics,delivering superior tail hold, reduced vibration, and quieter operation.
Inside the tail rotor hub, curved shim washers with damping O-rings absorb micro-vibrations,providing smoother tail response and improved long-term durability.This refined tail system gives the Nitro Ultimate the same flight feel and precision control as the electric version,while offering full parts compatibility between nitro and electric models —making maintenance, upgrades, and spares completely interchangeable.Together, it delivers the hallmark XLPower tail performance:
