Overview

The Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate evolves from XLPower’s proven nitro platform —
a refined redesign of the original Specter 700 Nitro, engineered for higher precision, improved balance, and an even smoother flight feel.

Built upon the same trusted mechanical foundation, the V2 Ultimate introduces a series of major engineering upgrades, including a brand-new pre-balanced clutch system,
an extended precision engine shaft, and an optimized 8.17:1 main gear ratio.
This refined gearing increases torque output, delivers stronger engine response, and makes tuning easier and less sensitive to needle adjustment —
giving pilots a broader and more stable tuning range.

The main gear now features a solid CNC structure, significantly reducing deformation and ensuring consistent, smooth power transfer even under heavy load.

The left carbon side frame has been reinforced with fewer front servo openings, greatly improving torsional rigidity and crash resistance.
Even after hard impacts, the frame maintains alignment and integrity, ensuring long-term durability and reduced maintenance.

At the heart of the drivetrain, the new extended engine shaft ensures less than 0.02mm runout from factory,
achieving perfect concentricity and vibration-free power delivery.
The starter coupling has been relocated outside the bearing to prevent clutch loosening,
while the shaft sleeve taper angle has been optimized to provide secure engagement without excessive tightening or slippage.

The tail system adopts the same design as the Specter 700 V2 Ultimate electric version,
featuring a CNC teeter-style tail rotor assembly and curved damping washers with O-rings,
providing stronger tail hold, reduced vibration, and a smoother, more linear control feel —
delivering an electric-like flight experience with full parts compatibility.

Externally, the Nitro Ultimate debuts a refreshed white aesthetic with a white tail boom, white landing skids, white vertical fin, and a new canopy design,
giving it a clean, modern, and balanced appearance that reflects its refined mechanical character.

With its blend of enhanced drivetrain precision, reinforced structure, and updated styling,
the Specter 700 V2 Nitro Ultimate defines a new generation of nitro performance —

The shaft is manufactured with less than 0.02 mm runout from factory, ensuring exceptional concentric accuracy and rotational stability.The reduced taper angle provides a tighter, more consistent engagement while requiring less torque to achieve full locking —reliable, repeatable, and easy to service.
Recommended tightening torque is 18 – 20 Nm, offering secure retention without excessive force.
